Dedicated to supporting the wellness of our clients and the community, Newfront’s wholesale benefits division – AP Insurance & Benefit Solutions – is once again sponsoring Seattle Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. 

On October 21, 2023, the AP team will join breast cancer survivors and supporters for the annual 5K walk that raises funds to help the American Cancer Society support services and lifesaving research to end breast cancer. 

“Participating in Making Strides is our way of giving back and recognizing that the impact to breast cancer patients, survivors and their families goes beyond medical services and health insurance,” said Nathan Edmondson, VP and Sales Manager of AP Insurance & Benefit Solutions. “We walk for the future, and we walk for those who can’t walk for themselves.” 

As the Health and Wellness Sponsor for the third consecutive year, the AP team is continuing a longstanding tradition to support the American Cancer Society. Since 2008, Newfront has raised over $500,000 to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life fundraiser, among other fundraising events that directly support the American Cancer Society’s groundbreaking research initiatives, outreach programs, and support for communities affected by cancer.

More than just a walk, the Making Strides movement raises lifesaving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of the journey. Enhanced digital offerings available across the nation include one-on-one breast cancer patient support services and the use of video chat to safely connect patients, caregivers, and family members with valuable online services and resources, in addition to a 24/7 helpline. 

Through our AP Insurance & Benefit Solutions fundraising team, we are doubling up on our support of Making Strides this year and asking you to join AP staff, family and friends by making a donation if it’s within your budget.

Seattle Making Strides Against Breast Cancer begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, October 21, at Gas Works Park, with the noncompetitive 5K walk scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. That gives you plenty of time to stop by AP’s Health & Wellness Sponsor booth, where you can personalize your own “I Walk For … ” button.
